What an incredible day we had exploring Cabo San Lucas! Tommy, Cheri, and I were so excited as we prepared to disembark from the Mariner of the Seas that morning. The anticipation was obvious as we boarded the small boat that would take us to shore. Tommy looked relaxed and happy during the ride, quietly taking in the scenery and the beautiful coastline around us.
The views of Cabo were absolutely breathtaking. The dramatic rock formations rising out of the crystal-clear blue water looked like something straight out of a postcard. We took a boat tour around the famous arches, and I couldn’t stop taking photos of the magnificent limestone cliffs. The water was a gorgeous turquoise color, and seeing our massive cruise ship from the water really put its size into perspective. We even spotted some sea life during the excursion, including a bright red crab scrambling across the rocks.
Once we reached shore, we wandered through the busy streets of Cabo San Lucas. The heat was pretty intense, and you can definitely see it on my face in some of the photos, but it was still so much fun exploring all the local shops and markets. Colorful vendors lined the streets selling sombreros, souvenirs, and handmade crafts. We passed familiar places like Hard Rock Cafe and Burger King, along with local restaurants such as Lorenzillo’s with their live lobster tanks. There was also a lively tequila bar called Arriba Tequila that caught our attention with its festive atmosphere.
Back on the ship that evening, we returned to our cabin to find another one of those adorable towel animals waiting for us, this time a cute little dog holding the TV remote. I absolutely loved that detail. Dinner that night was wonderful, with beautifully prepared dishes, and later the ship hosted a fun 1970s-themed party on the Promenade deck with disco music and dancing. It was the perfect way to end such a memorable day in Cabo.
