What an incredible road trip to Vegas! Tommy and I decided to make the drive from California, and it turned out to be such a memorable journey. We passed by Baker and saw the World's Tallest Thermometer - one of those classic roadside landmarks you always hear about but never think you'll actually see. I was so glad I had my GPS device with me because navigating through the desert can be tricky, especially with all those winding roads and mountain ranges stretching endlessly in every direction.
What an incredible day we had exploring Cabo San Lucas! Tommy, Cheri, and I were so excited as we prepared to disembark from the Mariner of the Seas that morning. The anticipation was obvious as we boarded the small boat that would take us to shore. Tommy looked relaxed and happy during the ride, quietly taking in the scenery and the beautiful coastline around us.
What an incredible day exploring Mazatlan! This was day 4 of our Mariner of the Seas cruise, and I have to say this port might have been my favorite so far.
The morning started with some excitement, we saw military personnel around the cruise ship, which was a bit unexpected but reassuring. From our stateroom balcony, Tommy spent some time reflecting and enjoying the moment before we headed into the city, looking out over the container port with the lush green hills of Mazatlan in the distance.
What a wonderful birthday celebration I had! The day started perfectly when Tommy and I headed to Good Times Cafe on East Main Street in Alhambra, a cozy little restaurant that unfortunately no longer exists. I ordered my absolute favorite noodle soup dish, I can never remember the exact name of it, but I had been craving it for days. Tommy even captured a sweet selfie of me in the car beforehand, glasses and all, just beaming with excitement about finally getting those noodles.
